I never knew I’d find this happiness,
A happiness that is full of loftiness.
I’m so glad you came into my life,
Every day now is always bright.

Before I came I prayed for you,
I asked God to give me you.
To be a mother was all I have ever desired,
When I first laid eyes on you,
Everything transpired.

A blessing and a gift is what you are to me,
Your presence sets my spirit free.
When I see your smile that is full of glee,
My misery vanishes away.

Being a mother can indeed be hard,
But I am willing to sacrifice myself on your behalf.
As long as you are happy and joyful,
That is all I need to be cheerful.

Now I have a reason to be strong,
I will weather any kind of storm.
I will blanket you from any danger,
With me, you’ll always find a savior.

I will always be your best friend,
A shoulder to cry on to the world’s end.
Your well-being and joy is my priority,
Protecting you with utmost dexterity.

May you grow up jolly and kind,
A person that has a strong mind.
As your mother, I will always be proud of you,
A good citizen you will be, that’s honest and true.
